1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Billman software ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Billman provides billing, inventory management and accounting software for businesses. The Service is available as a Windows desktop application (the "Server" install), browser-based LAN client access for additional counters, a web app and a mobile app. We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service with prior notice.

3. Accounts and Verification

You register with a Billman Cloud account (email and password). We may require you to verify your email address and/or mobile number before purchasing a licence or activating certain features. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Daily logins on your computers are local usernames managed by you inside the app.

4. Licences and Device Binding

  • A Billman desktop licence is a single-server licence: it entitles ONE computer (the server PC) to run the Billman server.
  • On activation the licence is locked to that computer's hardware identity (a fingerprint built from stable, hashed hardware identifiers). Reinstalling Billman on the same computer does not require a new licence.
  • The account owner can transfer the licence to a new computer from inside the app. Transferring revokes the previous computer: it is signed out and permanently stops syncing with the cloud. Data already on that computer stays there, but it can no longer be recovered or updated through cloud sync.
  • Running Billman on additional server computers requires additional licences or seats.
  • LAN client devices (extra counters, phones and tablets on your network) connect to your licensed server according to your plan's seat allowances.
  • We may suspend or revoke licences obtained fraudulently or used in breach of these terms.

5. Payment, Renewal and Lapse

  • Plan prices are shown in the app and on this website in Indian Rupees (₹) and may be changed with notice; changes do not affect a running licence period.
  • Payments are processed online through our payment provider (Razorpay) or recorded manually by our team for offline payments (UPI / bank transfer).
  • Licences are valid for the purchased period. After expiry there is a 14-day grace period during which the software keeps working while you renew.
  • After the grace period, the software becomes read-only and cloud sync stops until the licence is renewed. Your data is never deleted — it stays on your computer and becomes fully usable again on renewal.

6. Cloud Sync Fair Usage

Cloud sync and backup are provided under a fair-usage policy intended for normal business volumes. Exceptionally large data volumes may require a custom arrangement; we will contact you before applying any restriction or charge.

7. Data Ownership and Privacy

You retain all rights to the data you enter into Billman. We claim no ownership over your business data and process it only as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data at any time.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other tenants' data
  • Circumvent licence enforcement, device binding or seat limits
  • Resell, sublicense or share licences outside your business
  • Upload malicious code

9. Support

Support is provided per your plan and any support add-on you purchase. Contact details and office hours are published on the contact page.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Billman is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from the use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
